Huge Apple Week:
This Week iPad is Hitting Shelves.
Apple Is Launching A New iPhone Plus On For Verizon!

PSN & Xbox Live Arcade has the confirmed goodsPAX (Penny Arcade Expo) East is underway and although a lot of gaming goodness is coming out of the semi-

annual videogame show it was the smaller games that got my attention:

Reviewers got their hands on the ultra-violent 2-D vector art massacre that is Shank.  The game features a
heavily armed (guns, knives & chainsaws) protagonist who cleaves his way through an army of thugs ranging
from average to giant in size.  With the ability to climb walls/pipes and moves a plenty this game has bloody
style oozing out of it's pores.  Xbox Live Arcade & PSN

When retro gaming nuts out there thing of flight simulators they most likely think of blowing other planes out
of the sky rather than safely maneuvering them.  With that in mind, the nostalgic After Burner series is set to
return to the gaming world with After Burner: Climax (another product of the awesome game name engine)
and Sega released some updated screen shots. The 3D installment of the classic series promises fast action
with wonderful visuals (but then again anything is better than the ol' arcade/Master System After Burner).
After Burner: Climax is set to release on Xbox Live Arcade & PSN this Spring. (Don't know if this was PAX info)

I gushed about FuelCell's Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet a couple months back for it's amazing visuals and
dynamite soundtrack by metal band Dimmu Borgir.  I'm happy to say that the PC title is also coming to Xbox
Live Arcade.  If you missed it last time definitely check out the HD trailer.  Guaranteed to pique your interest.

Metroid: Other M gameplay video

We all know Nintendo and Team Ninja are teaming up to bring a 2-D/3-D hybrid Metroid game to the Wii but
we haven't seen any vids of it yet.  New footage shows us not only how the latest Samus adventure looks but
also how it plays.  Moving surprisingly fast the video shows how quickly the game perspective switches between
2.5D & first person by aiming the wiimote at the screen.  I don't know if this personal narrative of Samus (or the
fact that she has mysteriously developed a mole on her chin) is going to be good for the series but gameplay
looks to be taking another Prime-esque paradigm shift.

Singer out of X-men 1st Class.
Singer will join Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg as producers. He's not available because Warner Bros and Legendary are locked into a summer production start on Jack the Giant Killer. They’ll begin casting shortly. It is a big CG project, and they are likely to either shoot 3D or convert it later.
Dallas Film Festival April 8th-April 18th. (more info to come)

Suck It NASA! These [Pics] Are 99% Cheaper Than Yours!
Million Dollar NASA Photos Beaten by Budget Balloon
A man with a cheap digital camera, a helium balloon and some duct tape managed to get these

LHC has it's first collisions
CERN's Large Hadron Collider fired up today (Tuesday Mar 30) generating 7 trillion electron volts (TeV)
in search of the elusive Higgs boson or God particle (the hypothetical particle which is the only one not

observed or exists in nature).  The event not surpisingly broke a few world records for physics experiements

and was broadcasted over the web live.  Now that the collision session was a success it's time for
researchers to extensively analyze the data and see if this whole LHC thingy was worth it.  I guess we

should all just be happy to be alive right now :D

Tale of the tape: Robbery suspect duct tapes shoes

Maybe duct tape doesn't work for everything.

Police said an 18-year-old Cadillac man who fastened

duct tape to the bottom of his shoes in an attempt

to conceal the robbery of a northern Michigan business has been arrested.

Manistee County sheriff officials said

the man admitted robbing All Star Pay Day Loans in Manistee Township,

about 210 miles northwest of Detroit.

He was arrested about 3:35 a.m. Thursday after being spotted by deputies.

Police told the Ludington Daily News and WWMT-TV

the man was wearing dark clothing and carrying about $1,200 in cash.

The man was being held at the Manistee County Jail.

He faces charges including breaking and entering with intent, a 10-year felony.

Airport worker warned in scanner ogling claim

LONDON (Reuters) –

A security worker at London's Heathrow Airport

has received a police warning and faces disciplinary action

over claims he ogled a female colleague using a full-body scanner,

officials said on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old worker made lewd comments after his colleague Jo Margetson, 29,

mistakenly strayed into the scanner,

which can see through clothes to produce an image of the body,

the Sun newspaper reported.

The case is believed to be the first of its kind

since the full-body scanners were rushed into service at a number of British airports

in the wake of an attempt by a suspected Muslim extremist

to blow up a plane bound for Detroit on December 25.

They are now being rolled out at airports across the world.

Details of the incident at Heathrow's Terminal 5 on March 10 emerged

on the day lawmakers said concerns that the scanners were intrusive had been overblown.

Margetson told the Sun she had been "traumatized" by what had happened

and had informed police and her bosses at the airport's operator BAA.

"We treat any allegations of inappropriate behavior or misuse of security equipment

very seriously and these claims are being investigated thoroughly," said a spokeswoman for BAA.

"If found to be substantiated, we will take appropriate action."

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said officers had been informed of the allegation and

"a first instance harassment warning has been issued to a 25-year-old man."

Opponents of scanners have argued since their introduction

that they risked breaching individuals' rights to privacy.

Britain's Equality and Human Rights Commission has already said

they might be breaking discrimination and privacy laws.

"For every official caught ogling like this,

there are plenty more eyeing up law-abiding travelers,

" Alex Deane, director of the Big Brother Watch campaign group, told the Sun.

"These expensive machines are totally disproportionate."

The government says staff using the machines are properly supervised

and would not be able to see the person being scanned. All images are deleted.

Britain's parliamentary Home Affairs Committee

said fears about the scanners were misplaced

and they should be introduced at a faster pace

to deal with the threat of terrorism.

"The Committee is satisfied that the privacy concerns

that have been expressed in relation to these devices

are overstated and ... should not prevent the deployment of scanners,"

it said in a report.

Police: Drunk Pa. man tried to revive dead opossum

Police say they charged a Pennsylvania man with public drunkenness

after he was seen trying to resuscitate a long-dead opossum along a highway.

State police Trooper Jamie Levier

says several witnesses saw 55-year-old Donald Wolfe,

of Brookville, near the animal Thursday along Route 36 in Oliver Township,

about 65 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

The trooper says one person saw Wolfe kneeling before the animal and

gesturing as though he were conducting a seance.

He says another saw Wolfe attempting to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

Levier says the animal already had been dead a while.

The Associated Press could not locate a home telephone number for Wolfe.
