End of an Era: Steve Jobs Steps Down as Apple CEO
*Just some round table thoughts from the group* we do a shot.

WACOM Inkling announced

For those of you who can't pony up the cash to get a digital tablet experience hell, you're
still going to have to cough up some more dough anyway for WACOM's latest digital pen technology, Inkling.

Inkling includes a WACOM ballpoint pen (to be used on real paper this time) and a receiver that sits atop

your blank canvas.  The receiver records all the pen's movements and later lets you export JPG, TIFF and PDF
formats to your computer.  The receiver even allows you to factor in layers to your sketches.  Not too shabby,
but  here's the shabby part, Inkling only covers paper sizes just below standard letter (8.5" x 11") so your dreams
of Inkling away on oversized Bristol boards will have to remain dreams.  Inkling is slated for availability in
September for $199.

Top 10 SNES Games
To celbrate the 20th anniversary of the SNES PC Mag has put together a little write
up on the 10 greatest SNES games of all time.
To determine the contents of this list, they polled 17 forest elves on their preferences
for certain species of wild mushrooms, then divided the results by five and matched them
with Super NES sales figures from the 1990s. In other words,
we probably won't agree with this list.

#10: Star Fox 1993
#9:  Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island 1995
#8:  Donkey Kong Country 1994
#7:  F-Zero 1991

#5:  Super Mario Kart 1992
#4:  Final Fantasy III 1994

Tron says Tron 3 is a go
Bruce Boxleitner confidently tells a fan that his return for ‘TRON 3′ is an
absolute and that we can expect it to arrive in theaters in 2013.
Now, we just wait for Disney to say the same. Tron 2 did 400$M world wide.
No real shock that there was a sequel in the works.

‘Captain America’ writer: How about

Peter Dinklage as MODOK?

Chris What do you think? Since I really don't know much about Cap.

The Rum Diary trailer
This is Johnny Depp as Hunter S. Thompson again. Great trailer.

Diamond in the Sky
Astronomers have spotted an exotic planet that seems to be made of diamond
racing around a tiny star in our galactic backyard.
The new planet is far denser than any other known so far and consists largely of carbon.
Because it is so dense, scientists calculate the carbon must be crystalline, so a large part
of this strange world will effectively be diamond.
Lying 4,000 light years away (700 million miles an hour), or around an eighth of the way
toward the center of the Milky Way from the Earth, the planet is probably the remnant of
a once-massive star that has lost its outer layers to the so-called pulsar star it orbits.

Washington man lights beehive on fire after sting

LYNDEN, Wash. (AP) -- A Washington state fire chief says a man dumped gasoline on a beehive in a
tree in retaliation for a bee sting, then ignited the hive, causing an explosion heard throughout his
suburban neighborhood just a few miles south of the Canadian border.

The fire chief says, "The correct way to do that is to call a beekeeper."

Firefighters explained that to the homeowner, and the newspaper says it

doesn't appear that that the man will be cited.

Golfer mistaken for clown charged with DWI in NY

Massachusetts man whose colorful golf attire was briefly mistaken for a clown outfit has been

charged in New York with driving a golf cart while drunk.

The Genesee County sheriff says they got a report that someone dressed as a clown was

operating a stolen golf cart in the western New York town of Batavia on Sunday night.

Deputies found 37-year-old James Straub, of Stoneham, Mass., driving along a road.

He wasn't dressed as a clown - just wearing some colorful clothing after an outing at

Terry Hills Golf Course. But deputies say he was intoxicated.

Straub pleaded not guilty in town court to a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated

and a lesser charge of refusing to take a breath test. He didn't have a lawyer at his initial appearance.
